The Montessori playgroup classes at Jacaranda Tree Montessori are held every day. The activities in the class are specially selected based on the age of the children in the class.

You sign up for a 13-week course at a specific day and time. You then attend once a week with your child.

NOTE: It’s a good idea to register as soon as possible as very few spaces come free in our classes and can be a 6 month – 2 year+ wait.

Parent-Baby classes

An introduction to Montessori for you and your baby. The environment is adjusted to include Montessori materials and activities for crawling and sitting babies, to meet the needs of these inquisitive little learners.

Age: sitting/crawling to 14/16 months
Class times: Thursday 1pm – 2:30pm

An introduction to Montessori for you and your baby. You attend once a week for 1.5 hours with your child – your baby gets to explore a safe, beautifully prepared environment while you see the Montessori approach in action.

The environment is adjusted to include Montessori materials and activities for crawling and sitting babies, to meet the needs of these inquisitive little learners.

Infant Parent and Me (2 – 17 months)

Weekly topics such as home environment, movement, order, sleep patterns, independence and language acquisition will offer you moments of clarity in parenting your little one. You will be with your child as she explores simple Montessori materials and joins circle time. You’ll learn a great deal about child development while making new friends in a “mom’s group” atmosphere.

Term 2

We hope to start Term 2 in the beginning of February 2021. I will contact those on the waitlist in January 2021 if there is a space for you.

If you would like to join our waitlist, please follow the instructions here. There is a wait of about 3-6 months at the moment for baby classes so we recommend joining the waitlist as soon as possible. Then I can contact you when there is a space. These wait times are estimates and can change per course. Lately I have been receiving an increasing number of applications so my apologies for the long wait. It’s worth it!

Additional information

• Once there is a space in the class for you, you will be offered a space to attend once a week on Thursday afternoons. Each baby is to be accompanied by one adult/carer. Twins or siblings may come with one adult/carer.

• All sessions are offered in English–circle time each session includes Dutch and English songs.

• Dutch and other non-English speaking children are very welcome–a great opportunity for your child to be introduced to English.  Simone also speaks Dutch but uses her mother language with the children.

• There are 12-14 babies per group

• It is preferred if older siblings do not attend these sessions

• If your baby is sick or you are unable to attend, you may book in for a make-up class. Only one make-up class is allowed per child per term.

• Cancellations within 2 weeks of the beginning of the course are non-refundable. If you cancel before this time, a cancellation fee of €25 will be charged to cover administration costs.

Parent-Toddler classes

Beautiful Montessori materials are available for the child’s whole development. Activities range from cutting and sewing, to food preparation activities, to baskets of language materials.

Age: 14/16 months to 4 years
Class times: mornings: 9:30am – 11:30am (Monday to Friday)  + afternoon 15:00 – 17:00 (Wednesday only)
Cost: €325 for 13 week course
