Home Birth Supplies: WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH THE CUTTING BOARD AND COOKIE SHEET?

So you're planning a home birth, and you notice a cutting board and cookie sheet on the list. What's the deal?

I promise it's not a random choice! Both tools are used to optimize your freedom of movement, where you can labor and birth anywhere you choose, and your birth team can make sure we can follow you around with the supplies we need to properly monitor you and your baby, and jump in when we are needed.

The cutting board is used for neonatal rescusitation, and the cookie sheet is used to carry around the rest of the tools we use frequently (like a thermometer and doppler!)
